Hussien Hannawi, PT, DPT, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2021, where he also completed minors in Health Promotion and Coaching. He went on to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Wayne State University in 2025.

Hussien’s passion for physical therapy began long before graduate school. After sustaining several injuries throughout his 10-year career in organized football and participating in wrestling and track and field, he developed a deep appreciation for the rehabilitation process and the impact it can have on returning people to the activities they love.

That experience now fuels his commitment to helping patients recover, move better, and feel stronger.

He enjoys working with orthopedic, neurological, and sports rehabilitation patients, with a strong emphasis on utilizing evidence-based practice in both therapeutic exercise and manual therapy. Hussien strives to create a supportive, educational, and individual experience for every patient who walks through the door.

Outside of the clinic, Hussien enjoys exercsing at the gym, spending time with his wife, going on long walks, playing pickleball, and recently learning the game of golf. He is also an avid Detroit Lions fan and values every moment spent with his family.
