Welcome to the PPTS Commerce center! Our center focuses on complete quality care. We staff ourselves with clinicians that strive to continue their education to provide you with the most effective treatment methods available. Services at this center include a certified hand therapist. This helps us to design a treatment plan specific to your individual injury effectively reach your individual goals. To receive this individualized care, your journey needs to start with you coming in for an initial evaluation. Every patient, injury and goals are different. Community is important to us! We enjoy giving back to our community by volunteering at community events and helping our local schools and athletic programs grow. Part of our goal as clinicians is to help improve health wellness and injury prevention for all ages. So, look for us at your Walled Lake High Schools.
Commerce Center Director
Nicole Ramos, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She is originally from Michigan and returned home after living in Boston for 4 years. Nicole graduated from Michigan State University in 2004 with a Bachelors of Science with a concentration in genetics.
She began working at our Commerce Center in October 2010. Nicole has attended numerous continuing educational conferences on orthopedic and sports related injuries. Her most recent courses have focused on treatment of the shoulder, Mulligan techniques, osteopathic manual therapy, joint mobilization techniques, vestibular rehabilitation, sports medicine/injuries and McKenzie approach (mechanical diagnosis therapy). She is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis Therapy (MDT), which is more widely known as the McKenzie method. She utilizes her growing knowledge in new techniques to better assist her patient’s in the most up-to-date approaches backed by clinical evidence and research. Her next educational ventures include progressing her knowledge in functional movement analysis (Gary Gray), obtaining her orthopedic clinic specialist certification(OCS) and becoming a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS).
Nicole is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Orthopedic section of the APTA, and the Michigan Physical Therapy Association (MPTA). In her leisure time she enjoys running and trains for events such as Fight For Air Climb, Detroit half marathon and other local races. She enjoys reading, traveling, tennis, volleyball, and golf. She is studying to become fluent in Portuguese and will happily share stories about adventures in Brazil.
