WHAT IS PILATES?
A form of low impact exercises that focus on improving strength, spinal mobility, flexibility and posture. It focuses heavily on core strengthening and stability as well as restoring natural spinal curves which in turn improves overall posture.
Pilates is a great exercise for all age groups from the aging population to a form of cross training for all types of athletes. It improves flexibility and joint mobility by working through all different ranges of motion in order to allow participants to be able to flow through life and daily activities with ease.
In order to get the most benefit out of each exercise you must coordinate the mind and the body and implement the basic principles. Pilates exercises are easily modifiable for those with current pain or injuries or to increase difficulty for those that need a bigger challenge and more difficult workout.

“Pilates is the complete coordination of body, mind and spirit”. – Joseph Pilates
“You will feel better in ten sessions, look better in twenty sessions, and have a completely new body in thirty sessions”. – Joseph Pilates
