PRA, or the Performance Running Academy, is a specialized service offered by Plymouth Physical Therapy Specialists designed to cater to runners of all skill levels and ages.  This academy focuses on providing highly individualized care to optimize runners’ performance and address any injury-related concerns.  Whether you’re a novice or an experienced runner, PRA offers tailored services to enhance your running experience.  Board Certified clinicians carefully evaluate your condition to understand the nature of your injury and its impact on your running capabilities.  Based on the results of your injury assessment, the clinicians at PRA create personalized treatment and training plans.  These plans are customized to your unique abilities, skill level, and age.

PRA utilizes cutting-edge equipment and technology to help you achieve your running goals.  This includes high-speed video analysis, which can provide valuable insights to your running form and mechanics.  PRA offers access to the AlterG® Anti-gravity Treadmill™, a pioneering technology in the field of physical therapy.

Meet Nathan, a Doctor of Physical Therapy and lifelong runner.  As a former Division 1  cross country athlete at Bowling Green State University and the University of Miami, he brings a wealth of experience to the table.

Nathan achieved top 15 finishes in both the Mid-American and Atlantic Coast Conference championships.  During his time at BGSU, he also contributed to developing strength and conditioning protocols for elite athletes and runners.  At the University  of Miami, he set impressive track records with a 5K time of 14:23 and a 10K time of 30.23.  He even holds the cross country 8K school record at UofM, clocking in at 24:09.  Continuing his running journey, Nathan has excelled in half and full marathons, finishing 8th overall in the Detroit Free Press Marathon (2:36:56) and wining the Charlevoix Marathon (2:37:10).

Professionally, Nathan has worked with professional athletes and processes’ specialized training in sports PT.  His commitment to researched-driven expertise in running-related injuries is unwavering.
